Generosity

It takes time, but when we see that we are ultimately a benevolent presence, and that the true nature of all and everything is good, we understand that we cause hurt to ourselves and to others if we don’t know love as a ground of reality. When we have embraced that new perspective, generosity becomes our way of living, and we have a more comprehensive view of the world and its pain. The strife and discord of ordinary existence is no longer the only or truest reality for us because we now have the correct outlook: Our disconnection from the ground of love is the main source of agony, and we have ways to find our way back to it. – Karen Johnson, The Jeweled Path: The Biography of the Diamond Approach to Inner Realization, Ch. 23
