Non-attachment

It is fine to have pleasure, but you do not have to make it so important. It is okay to have food, but you do not have to eat too much. It is all right to exercise, but not to be obsessed with it. It is fine to have company, but not all the time. It is okay to be alone, but not always. With this balance, there is a freedom in the mind. You are not attached to one channel; you are not hooked. You can flow back and forth between many things; that indicates non-attachment. Non-attachment means you are starting to be free from the conceptualizations and divisions of the mind. – Diamond Heart Book Four: Indestructible Innocence, ch. 8
